Get the Welder and Repair the Wasp
In the Demo, retrieving the Welder requires backpack electricity for the door controls.
Once you have the tool, repair the Wasp's hull, propulsion engine and hover modules separately, supplying the materials requested by each component's repair prompt.
The door-control advice applies to the Demo. In Early Access, follow your current objective for the route and the prompts in your game for controls and material requirements.
Keep Power for the Demo Door Controls
Check your personal electricity before spending it on optional salvage. The Demo's Welder retrieval needs power at the door controls, so leave enough charge for that interaction.
- Check the backpack battery before approaching the Demo's door controls to see whether you have electricity available.
- Pause in sunlight if the backpack battery needs charging before you return to the door controls.
- Power the Demo's door controls with backpack electricity to continue retrieving the Welder.
Repair Each Damaged Wasp Component
Have the required materials available before attempting a repair. Inspect each component's own request rather than assuming the hull, propulsion engine and hover modules all need the same supplies.
- Select the Welder so you can inspect the damaged Wasp with the repair tool.
- Use the Welder on the damaged hull with the materials requested by its repair prompt to restore that component.
- Use the Welder on the damaged propulsion engine with the materials requested by its own prompt to repair that system.
- Use the Welder on each damaged hover module with that module's requested materials to repair it separately.
- Read your current objective after completing the repairs to identify the next task.
Check the Part, Materials and Tool Power
If a repair cannot be completed, inspect the specific component again and compare its requested supplies with what you have available. Having the Welder does not replace the required materials, and repairing the hull does not automatically restore the propulsion engine or hover modules.
If a hand tool stops working, check the backpack battery. Personal electricity and aircraft fuel are separate supplies, so a refuelled Wasp does not necessarily mean your tools have power.
Keep the repair prompt's requirements in view while gathering supplies. Prioritize the damaged aircraft before spending materials it needs on optional camp equipment.
