Power your machines and carry the camp onward

Run the Utility Wasp’s engine and connect its electrical output to the Camp Hub, which distributes electricity to connected camp machinery. To take the workshop with you, finish production, inspect machine inventories, then pack the foldable hub into the Wasp’s transport storage and verify that your essential equipment is secured.

02

Choose your electrical supply and camp equipment

The Utility Wasp supplies electricity through the Camp Hub. A fuel generator and researched solar panels are additional camp supply options. Monitor the Hub panel while equipment runs, especially during research, because the available supply must support the active machinery.

EquipmentPurpose and supply check
Camp HubConnects the Utility Wasp to camp equipment and distributes electricity to connected machinery that requires power.
Research deskStudies artifacts to unlock craftables. Research draws on camp electricity over time, so monitor the Hub while it runs.
Hydrogen refineryConverts hydrogen crystals into Wasp fuel. Check both its electrical connection and its raw-material input before expecting production.
Crafting tableCreates camp equipment and displays the materials required for each object, along with the materials you already possess.

Keep aircraft fuel, backpack charge and camp electricity separate when diagnosing a shortage. A full hydrogen reserve does not establish that a stopped machine has electrical power. Start with the supply and meter relevant to the equipment you are trying to use.

03

Deploy and connect the portable camp

  1. Land the Utility Wasp in an accessible area. Leave yourself room to reach the aircraft, unfold the Camp Hub and work around the machinery you intend to use.
  2. Deploy the foldable Camp Hub carried by the Utility Wasp. The hub provides the connection between your aircraft and the camp’s electrical equipment.
  3. Start the Utility Wasp’s engine for the aircraft-powered camp setup. The launch-day community connection instructions pair a running engine with the electrical connection to the hub.
  4. Connect the Camp Hub to the Wasp’s rear-right electrical connection. The rear-left connection is the fuel inlet, so check the interface labels before choosing the connection.
  5. Craft any missing camp machine at the crafting table. Its recipe display identifies the materials needed, helping you work toward the equipment your next task requires.
  6. Connect the required machinery to the hub’s electrical supply. This lets the hub distribute electricity to the connected buildables that need it.
  7. Inspect the Hub panel while your machinery operates. Watch for a supply that cannot sustain the active demand, particularly during a research task that continues consuming camp power.
04

Check the Hub when a machine stops

Start at the Camp Hub when electrical equipment will not operate. Check its connection to the supply, whether that supply has charge or generation available, and whether the machine itself is connected. Then compare the active demand with the available supply before deciding that the machine needs replacing.

For a research task, keep watching the Hub after work begins because research can drain camp power over time. For a hydrogen refinery, inspect the electrical supply and crystal input together. A connection problem and a missing input call for different fixes, so check both before collecting more materials.

05

Pack without overlooking essential equipment

  1. Finish the production you want to take with you before packing. This gives you a clear stopping point for checking the refinery and other machinery instead of moving mid-task.
  2. Inspect each machine’s inventory for remaining inputs and finished output. Account for the supplies you still need, particularly anything left inside the hydrogen refinery, before moving the camp.
  3. Check the equipment you need at your next stop. Use the crafting table, research desk and hydrogen refinery as a practical reminder of which camp services you intend to bring.
  4. Pack the foldable Camp Hub into the Utility Wasp’s transport storage. The hub is designed to fold into the aircraft’s storage space so the portable camp can travel onward.
  5. Verify that the hub, attached storage boxes and essential equipment are actually secured before departure. Make this your final check, especially when handling the camp inside the Cloud Cruiser.
06

Missing items after packing

Why does my camp or hydrogen refinery lose items when I pack it up?
A Demo report describes refinery contents being removed when the base camp was picked up. A separate Early Access patch addressed Camp Hubs and attached storage boxes disappearing during manual attachment to a Wasp inside the Cloud Cruiser. Inspect both machine inventories and attached equipment before moving, since these are different item-loss symptoms. If equipment disappears again, use the in-game bug reporting tool to report what happened.
